Structural Integration addresses the whole fascial system

Structural Integration

Structural Integration (SI) is a specialized soft-tissue manipulation and movement education treatment that helps to bring overall alignment, ease and balance to the body.

We often suffer from chronic tension, pain or limitation in specific areas in our body and cannot seem to relieve the source of the problem. This is because the functional and structural patterns in our posture are held within the whole structure and cannot be treated as isolated issues. Much like a puppet, if you pull one string, the entire distribution of tension changes in all of the strings and influences how the puppet is being held. As such, SI addresses the whole body and works to systematically unravel all of the "strings" or the overall pattern that contributes to the issues that we are experiencing.

Treatments are typically set up in a series of progressive treatments, whereby the therapist systematically addresses the places of strain, restriction and misalignment that are contributing to discomfort, limitation or pain.

I highly recommend Grace. She is a strong, competent therapist. She listens to you and your body. Well worth the investment.

I did the 12-week SI series and it was wonderful, I had neck issues which have since been rectified. I also have better posture and my walking (gait) has improved. I look forward to our monthly treatments.
